What's Needed

Scholarships
Many Missouri S&T undergraduates receive financial aid to help pay for their tuition. Scholarships established by donors help ease the burden on the University's operating budget in providing support for these students.

State support and educational fees only provide a portion of the revenue needed for Missouri S&T's annual budget, making donor contributions all that much more necessary.

Your donations allow Missouri S&T to provide extraordinary educational opportunities for student, thereby maintaining the tradition of excellence for which Missouri S&T is known.

There are several areas where we are currently seeking support:

Faculty and Program Support
Support for Missouri S&T's faculty and their programs enables the University to attract and retain the nation's best scholars and educators as well as enhance the undergraduate curriculum. In order to maintain Missouri S&T's competitiveness for these top scholars, the university focuses much of its fundraising efforts on faculty support.
Endowed Professorships and Chairs significantly support the university's efforts to recognize outstanding faculty.

Support for Campus Life
Student activities, residential life, and intramural sports and intercollegiate athletics all play a part in the college experience for UMR students. Gifts to support such areas help enhance the daily life of students, providing them with opportunities to grow beyond their academic training.

Facilities
Funds to upgrade or build new facilities give faculty and students the environment and tools they need to develop their full potential as well as enhance the Missouri S&T experience for the entire campus community. Gifts from private donors are crucial for Missouri S&T's efforts to provide and maintain state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.
