Highlights from OGS Weekend 2026
OGS members brought plenty of Texas flair to the June gathering in Dallas, celebrating the university’s bright future while experiencing the best of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Based at the quintessentially Texan Hotel Crescent Court in the heart of Uptown, attendees enjoyed a variety of excursions, including museums, cooking classes and Reunion Tower. The weekend also included an evening at the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, complete with dinner, live music and professional bull riding at the world’s largest honky tonk, Billy Bob’s.
On Saturday afternoon, guests received a signed first-edition copy of Making a Difference: The Gary Havener Story, written by University Historian Larry Gragg, who shared details of his work with OGS member and one of Missouri S&T’s most notable alumni, Gary Havener, Math’62.
The weekend culminated with an OGS tradition: a formal dinner and recognition ceremony welcoming new and advancing members. Watch for details about the 2027 OGS celebration, honoring our 50th anniversary and celebrating the campaign launch.
